Defining Pocket Weaves
We've just gotten in a pocket weave, called Pillow Talk, from the highly decorative textile house Gretchen Bellinger and thought this would be a good time to describe a pocket weave in upholstery fabric terms. A pocket weave is defined by textileglossary.com as "A jacquard double-layered fabric with several warps. The design is created with both warps and fillings."
In Pillow Talk, the pocket weave (double cloth) is every other square in a checkered pattern. It comes in two colors: True Blue and Bittersweet and the pocket weave squares are lined with gold metallic thread.
